She desires justice.

Having now returned from our 2-week adventure to Cambodia, Claire and I have been greatly impacted by the lives of the Cambodian women we have met. We have heard stories of horrendous tragedy… genocide, child-trafficking… and have experienced a small taste of their daily lives… walking in the slums, teaching their children.

Yet despite the significant differences between our worlds, they are just like us… girls, women, beautiful, dreams in their hearts, hopes for the future… created by a Heavenly Father.

Proverbs 8:20 (NLT) encourages us to walk in righteousness, in paths of justice. What does this mean? In this context, righteousness is referring to how we live our own lives- with honesty, integrity and purity. Justice refers to what we do to benefit the lives of others- acts of kindess, speaking up for those who cannot speak up for themselves… making a difference in the lives of someone else.

A Girl of Wisdom lives righteously and desires justice. She chooses to live a life according to God’s values and to play her part in changing the world for the better.
